Monkman has exhibited widely including the BP Portrait Award (1st prize 2009, exhibited 2003, 2001, 1999) ,  Jerwood Drawing Prize (2007), ‘Future Face’ at the Science Museum (2005)  and more recently at the Threadneedle Prize for painting and sculpture (2009, 2008) at the Mall Galleries and ‘dependtendency’ at the 53rd Venice Biennial.  His most recent solo show ‘Changing Face’ at the Watts Gallery Compton, has toured to several other venues including the Lewis Elton Gallery, University of Surrey, Wellington College and Winchester College.
